Growing up in Edmonds, Washington, Steve became interested in art at an early age. He graduated from Central Washington State University with a degree in Art Education.

Living on Puget Sound and cruising and racing sailboats fostered a deep appreciation of boats from the artists' viewpoint. Steve's paintings of the classic boats of the Wooden Boat Marina on Lake Union and in Port Townsend are in collections of boat enthusiasts throughout the world.

He has exhibited in various one-man and group shows, created several commission works and is in numerous private collections.

Steve works in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, oil, casein, pencil, colored pencil, pen & ink, airbrush, and acrylics.

Steve paints a variety of subject matter including boats, lighthouses, landscapes, flowers, abstracts, pen & ink cartoons, portraits, and whatever sparks his interest.

Showing in a variety of galleries throughout Washington, Steve now makes his premier showing in Kingston at the AC Fine Art Gallery.
